It was a great weekend at AERO Gatineau-Ottawa 2026 for the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program! 

Canadians, industry partners,  RCAF members, and political leaders had the chance to meet the brand-new RCAF CT-157 Siskin II (Pilatus PC-21) in person – both on the ground and in the air. 

Our ‘Welcome to Canada’ ceremony on Thursday kicked off the weekend, including remarks from the RCAF Commander, Lieutenant General Jamie Speiser-Blanchet, SkyAlyne Board Chair, Tracy Medve, and the Pilatus Aircraft VP of Government Aviation, Ioannis  Papachristofilou, while showcasing a ground and air display of the new aircraft.  

Over the weekend, crowds were treated to daily ground and aerial displays of the Siskin II, including a special formation flight in collaboration with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds from 431 Air Demonstration Squadron.  

The static display gave visitors a close-up look at the first of nineteen CT-157 Siskin II aircraft to be delivered for the program and learn more about the aircraft’s capabilities and its roles in the RCAF.
