Three years ago, Canadian companies CAE and KF Aerospace formed SkyAlyne to provide a truly Canadian solution for Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program. Since then, the SkyAlyne Team has grown considerably as we have worked to assemble a group of the very best in Canadian aerospace and defence. Now, that effort has been further bolstered by another significant addition to our team.

Lockheed Martin Canada — previously a pre-qualified supplier for the FAcT program— has officially joined the SkyAlyne Team as a strategic subcontractor.

SkyAlyne will continue to be led by parent companies CAE and KF Aerospace. Our companies have deep roots in Canada and share a firm commitment to grow opportunities at home, strengthen the communities we operate in and help keep Canadians safe.

As the incumbents on the current training programs for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), CAE and KF Aerospace recognize the need to bring together a team of experts with world-class capabilities and experience to ensure the best value proposition for Canada. This team also needs to ensure the Royal Canadian Air Force’s next-generation program will have a solution that is highly innovative and can deliver the maximum economic benefits for Canadian workers and communities – a need that has been significantly reinforced by the COVID-19 crisis.

By including Lockheed Martin Canada as a subcontractor, SkyAlyne has added one of the world’s most experienced and capable defence companies to our solution. Lockheed Martin Canada leverages the corporation’s deep well of experience at handling complex training programs for militaries worldwide, including for allies such as Australia, Singapore, the United States and the UK. That experience combines with the rest of our outstanding team to ensure Canadian military aircrew training remains among the best in the world for the long term.

The SkyAlyne Team led— by CAE (Head Office: Montreal, QC) and KF Aerospace (Kelowna, BC) — represents an alliance of the foremost industry leaders in global military aircrew training and training systems integration and will be delivered as a Canadian-based solution.

Our full team operates in every region of Canada and collectively employs more than 15,000 Canadians. Our strategic subcontractor group includes:

This team of subcontractors will enhance SkyAlyne’s solution for FAcT by bringing their vast experience working with Canada’s military (more than 400 years collectively) and world-leading expertise on a wide range of support services including airfield and ground maintenance, aircraft maintenance, emergency services, air traffic control and courseware design, among others.
