Media Advisory: Royal Canadian Air Force Commander to welcome newest Future Aircrew Training aircraft to Canada

September 14, 2026 – Ottawa, Ontario – via Department of National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Lieutenant-General Jamie Speiser-Blanchet, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), will officially welcome the RCAF’s new Advanced Flying Training Fixed-Wing/Jet aircraft, the CT-157 Siskin II, to Canada. The CT-157 (Pilatus PC-21) aircraft will be on display and the second will conduct a flypast (weather dependent). The fleet will eventually include 19 aircraft as part of the Future Aircrew Training program (FAcT), a 25-year, $11.2 billion, RCAF training initiative in partnership with SkyAlyne.
